Mama's House
My Mama lived in the same house for over fifty years until her death in 2008. Nothing inside ever changed. The grandmother clock sang the same song at the same hour of every day. The porcelain figurines remained in the same poses on the same tables for what I thought would be eternity. My photographs turned Mama's house into my dollhouse. They consider the relationship of the women in my family. I recorded a world where I was a granddaughter, daughter and niece through the visions of my grandmother, mother and aunt.
